Travel’n On General Contests Rules
The following rules apply generally to all Travel’n On on-air and online contests. However, at certain times particular rules will not pertain or additional rules may apply.
1. No purchase is necessary. Void where prohibited.
2. Contests are open to legal U.S. residents. Employees of Travel’n On Radio Show, its affiliated and subsidiary companies, contest sponsors, and the members of the immediate families of anyone so employed are ineligible to participate.
3. Contestants can only win a contest once every 30 days.
4. Travel’n On Travel’n Trivia Game Rules: Unless indicated otherwise, listeners will hear the Travel’n Trivia question during the Travel’n On Radio show’s hour. All contest entries must be provided on-line at the Travel’n Trivia section at www.traveln-on.com before noon (EST) on the following Thursday. Entrants must provide their name, address, phone number and email address when submitting their answer. Winner(s) will be selected from a pool of correct answers received. No purchase necessary. One prize per winning household will be awarded. All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, incomplete or from ineligible entrants will be void. Travel’n On Radio Show is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. All entries become the property of Travel’n On Radio and will not be acknowledged or returned. This contest is only open, and prizes only awarded, to residents at least 18 years of age. Employees of Travel’n On Radio Show, affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Washington metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win. All prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. Winners must complete a prize receipt and release form providing winner’s name, address, birth date, phone number, email address and social security number. Unless otherwise specified all prizes may be picked up at the Travel’n On Radio Show office, 1325 G Street #500, Washington, DC 20005. Out-of-State winners may request that their prize be mailed after completing a prize receipt. Any prize not claimed within 30 days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. Winners consent to the use of their name, likeness, voice or any other representation of themselves by Travel’n On Radio in the course of normal promotional activities. Winners guarantee they are eligible to win the prize awarded and agree to forfeit any prize for which they were ineligible. Winners must comply with all contest rules as published or aired by Travel’n On. Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. All rules are subject to change. These rules are specific to this contest and may be revised, withdrawn, concluded, extended or otherwise modified instantly and without prior notification. Travel’n On shall not be responsible for delays or delivery of the mail, phone company inconsistencies, or failure of an agency to perform or handle contest properly. In the event of ties or other disputes, the decision of Travel’n On Radio Show management shall be final and no duplicate prizes shall be awarded. All contests are conducted without consideration and cannot create third party interests. Travel’n On Radio Show reserves the right to void contest winners’ prize claims in the event of fraud, collusion, tampering with game pieces, deception or other infraction of any contest rule. 5. By entering any contest, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Travel’n On Radio Show, its affiliated and subsidiary companies and contest sponsors against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from contestants' participation in the contest or acceptance or use of the prize. Upon request, winner will promptly complete and sign any documents effectuating this release.
6. Contestant name, voice, city and state of residence may be used for promotional purposes without any additional permission or compensation.
7. Decision of the judges is final with regard to all contest matters.
8. No cash value, substitution of prizes or transfer of prizes will be allowed, except that contest sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to substitute prizes of comparable value.
9. Unless otherwise specified, all prizes must be picked up from Travel’n On Radio Show office at 1325 G Street, NW, #500, Washington, DC during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM) within 30 days. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.
10. Winners are responsible for any applicable federal, state or local taxes.
11. For Call-in contests where the correct caller wins: The on-air personality will announce specifically what number caller will win. Travel’n On Radio Show is not responsible for contestant’s inability to complete or conclude a call at the specified time whether due to telephone equipment malfunction, busy lines, disconnections or other circumstances. Only call to the designated number(s) will be eligible to win. Correct caller with correct answer: In this case contestant not only has to be the designated caller, as selected by the respective station, but must also correctly answer the question. In the event the contestant is the correct caller but provides the wrong answer; the on-air personality will take the next random caller. The contest will continue until a selected caller has the correct answer and the prize is awarded. Online contests: Applicable rules will be listed at the time of online contest launch.
12. For Web-Related Contests: Not responsible for contestant’s inability to access the Internet due to ISP downtime, computer failure, equipment malfunction, disconnections, busy lines, misdirected e-mail, submission errors or other circumstances or incapacitates relative to web access or to game application. Decision of the judges is final and binding with respect to all contest related matters.
13. In the event that an enter-to-win contest is conducted inside a venue requiring paid entry, entry forms and boxes are available outside of admission entrances so that entry may be made with no purchase of admission tickets required.
14. Travel’n On Vacation Getaway Contest: Specific rules, including the time(s) of contest(s) will be announced on-air and posted on-line accordingly. All other general Travel’n On contest rules will apply. No purchase will be necessary. The winner will be responsible for all taxes
15. These are general contest rules and can be superseded by individual contest rules at the discretion of Travel’n On.
